Our purpose is to bring people and resources together to support effective practice. The Network is for the whole social services workforce. Irrespective of occupation or sector, if you're employed in a social service in Scotland we're here to support your learning and development needs.

Service User and Carer involvement in Further and Higher Education is of interest to many people. Learning Networks South East and West commissioned research into how education establishments involve service users and carers in their Social Care courses and Social Work degree programmes. The criteria for this year’s Voluntary Sector Development Fund have been agreed. £1million will be available in the financial year 2008-09 to assist voluntary organisations covered by phase two of the Scottish Social Services Council’s registration process.
