Mental Health Officer Award (MHOA) - this new award is being developed to replace the Mental Health Social Work Award (MHSWA). The award is to be developed at SCQF level 11 and will attract 60 credits at Masters level. Click here for an update on the development.

Graduate Certificate in Community Care - The University of Stirling have announced their next cohort course which is now opened to applicants from all over Scotland. They are currently inviting applications for this cohort commencing in August. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like to discuss. Click here for further information

Leadership and Management for Care Services level 4 (LMC): This award has superseded the Registered Managers Award. The qualification reflects current practice and legislation and will supersede the Registered Manager Award (RMA) in Health and Social Care and the Manager in Residential Childcare Award from April 2008. As from April 2008 the SVQ LMC will be available for centres to deliver. Click here to view the launch presentation. Practice Learning Qualifications: The Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) have been commissioned by Learning Networks South East, Tayforth and West to develop the new Practice Learning Qualifications (Social Services) (PLQ (SS)). The development work is being led by the West Network. For information on the West's programme please click on link. The Learning Network North have commissioned The Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen to develop the Practice Learning Qualification (Social Services).
