Continuous Learning Framework
The Continuous Learning Framework (CLF), was developed by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and the Institute for Innovation and Research in Social Services (IRISS). The CLF sets out the skills, knowledge, personal attributes and training that those working in the social services sector need to do their job well and thus improve services for those that use them.
Launched in December 2008, the Scottish Government has provided funding for the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) to work with the Learning Networks, Voluntary Sector Social Services Workforce Unit (VSSSWU) and the Private Care Sector Workforce Initiative (PCSWI) to promote and embed the Continuous Learning Framework across the social services sector.
