Knowledge

It is vital that the knowledge of employees, service users and carers is harnessed and appropriately applied, if we want to improve social services. It is also imperative that access to knowledge resources, research and best practice is easily available to the sector to underpin evidence informed practice.

The Learning Networks engage with a number of organisations, initiatives and processes which support access to knowledge resources and the effective management of knowledge within the Scottish social services sector. Through our work, we support opportunities for members of the workforce to share knowledge across organisations and disciplines, to improve their knowledge and foster a learning culture across the sector.

We engage with service users and carers and ensure their knowledge feeds into strategic and operational developments, and we support our partners and members to do the same.
